Poplar High Street, Poplar fight: Man taken to hospital

A man is in hospital following a fight between a group of men in Poplar. 

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were dispatched to Poplar High Street after receiving reports of an altercation between a group yesterday (May 16). 

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were also called to the scene where a man was found with injuries. 

He was taken to a local hospital.

A Met Police spokesperson advised today (May 17) they are awaiting an update on his condition. 

Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and the police are yet to make an arrest in connection with the incident. 

The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for a comment.
