Two people were taken to hospital following a crash between a lorry and a motorcycle.

Emergency services were called to Hackney Road at around 7.45 am this morning to reports of a road traffic collision.

The crash involved a lorry and a motorcycle, Scotland Yard has said.

A Met spokesperson said both were taken to hospital and their conditions are "not life threatening".

Firefighters were called at 7.56am to assist emergency services.

The LFB spokesperson said one motorcyclist, who was involved in a collision with a van, was taken to hospital, which this paper will clarify.

Hackney Road was closed for several hours between Temple Street and Garner Street.

The 26, 55 and 394 buses were diverted.

There have been no  arrests.
