A body was found inside a wooded area of a park.
Police were called to Victoria Park in Tower Hamlets last night (August 10) at 10pm after Tower Hamlets Council alerted officers.
A dead body was found at the wooded area near to the Gore Road gate.
Enquiries are still ongoing to identify the body and notify the next of kin, and the death is being treated as unexplained.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “A crime scene has been set up in an area of the park while the circumstances are investigated.
"At this early stage, there have been no arrests. The rest of the park remains open to members of the public.”
