Almost two million flu jabs have been given by the NHS across London in recent months - but the NHS is still urging those who have not been vaccinated to do so.
More than 1.9million vaccinations were given in London between September 1 to January 5, compared to 1.856m in the same period a year earlier.
But the NHS is still calling on people to get jabs.
“Flu is a serious illness and means pressure on busy hospital emergency departments,” NHS chief London nurse Karen Bonner warns. "Getting vaccinated eases pressure on the NHS.”
Those eligible include pregnant women, toddlers aged two or three last August 31, schoolchildren from Reception to Year 11, young people at clinical risk aged six months to 18 years and people over 65 or at clinical risk from age 18.
Also eligible are anyone in long-stay care homes, carers, frontline workers, hospice volunteers and nursing home staff without a health scheme.
