A cyclist is in hospital after a crash involving a car near Canary Wharf.

Police were called to a crash between a car and a cyclist in Salter Street just after 10am yesterday morning (April 11).

London Ambulance Service treated the cyclist at the scene before rushing her to hospital.

Salter Street, which is close to Westferry DLR station, was shut while emergency services worked at the scene.

In a statement released by the Metropolitan Police yesterday evening, a spokesperson for the force said that the condition of the cyclist in hospital is not known.

No arrests had been made at the time, with police enquiries descried as “ongoing”.
