Search the Public Notice PortalThe first batch of 95 new social homes in Tower Hamlets is set to be completed at the end of the month.
The homes are part of the Eric Street Development on the Mile End estate in Tower Hamlets and are being delivered by East End Homes, a community-led housing association in the borough.
Daniel Killian, chief executive of East End Homes, said: "As a locally based and community-led housing association, we’re proud to support residents of Tower Hamlets and deliver much-need new homes in an area of high demand.
"While helping to address the borough’s housing shortage, these new homes for social rent will support existing East End Homes residents by keeping families together in their neighbourhood."
East End Homes has worked with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Tower Hamlets Council to secure funding and ensure the homes are prioritised for residents in greatest need.

Mr Killian said: "Our thanks to the GLA for essential funding support, which enabled us to convert all of the new flats into affordable homes.
"We’re also pleased to be working in close collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council to make sure that the new homes go to those families whose need is greatest."
The Eric Street Development will deliver 95 social rent homes, with the first 43 set to be completed by the end of January and residents expected to move in from February.
Tower Hamlets mayor Lutfur Rahman said: "We have made it a top priority to tackle the impact of London's housing crisis here in Tower Hamlets by working with partners like East End Homes to build affordable and social housing for our residents.
"I am delighted to be opening 95 new high-quality homes for social rent, which will be allocated to Tower Hamlets residents on the housing waiting list who are most in need."
The new homes include one to three-bedroom flats, with some set aside for current tenants living in overcrowded conditions. The housing project is also delivering improvements to green spaces surrounding Windermere House, Buttermere House, and Coniston House.
