A boy has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car an a cyclist in Poplar.

The incident happened in Upper North Street near India Dock Road just after 12.30am today (March 8).

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found a boy, in his teens, with a head injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is unknown at this stage.

No arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 12.33am on Sunday, 8 March to a report of a collision between a car and a cyclist on Upper North Street, Poplar.

"Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found a boy, in his teens, with a head injury.

"He was taken to hospital; we await an update on his condition.

"No arrests have been made.

"Anyone with information should call 101 with reference 205/8MAR."
