Two people have been taken to hospital following a double stabbing on a busy road in Shadwell, London Now reports.
The London Ambulance Service was called to Watney Street at 4pm yesterday (April 7) with reports of an incident.
Ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and from the tactical response unit, and an incident response officer attended.
London's Air Ambulance dispatched a trauma team by car, our sister title London Now reports.
The first of the responders arrived within two minutes of the call coming in.
Two people were taken to a major trauma centre with stab wounds.
Their conditions are not known at this time.
The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for further information.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4pm on Tuesday 7 April to reports of a stabbing on Watney Street, E1.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, a paramedic from our tactical response unit and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our first crews arrived on scene in less than two minutes.
“We treated two patients for stab wounds and took them to a major trauma centre.”
