An international tutoring company has won a King’s Award for Enterprise.
The Profs, based in Canary Wharf and founded in 2014, has been recognised for its success in international trade. It offers online tutoring and university admissions support to students around the world, helping more than 10,000 learners each year in more than 120 countries.
The company works with hundreds of tutors and focuses on students applying to leading UK universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, LSE and Imperial College London. Its tutor network is highly selective, accepting only around three per cent of applicants.

Dr Leo Evans, co-founder and CEO of The Profs, said: "We started with a £1,500 overdraft and a belief that excellent tutoring should not depend on geography. To now receive a King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade is a proud moment for everyone who helped build The Profs."
The Profs is the first online tutoring company to receive a King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. Dr Evans said much of the company’s international growth has come from families seeking support with British qualifications.
He added: "Some of our students are thousands of miles from London, but they are preparing for British exams, British universities and British qualifications."
