A train route running through east London is set to be subject to delays and cancellations across today following a fire in Stratford.
The disruption on the c2c line, which runs between London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness, is a result of a signalling fault between Limehouse and Barking, first reported early this morning (July 11).
According to National Rail and c2c the outage was caused by the fire at Stratford Station which damaged telecommunications equipment in the area.
The live updates page on c2c's website says: "Trains have now resumed running between Fenchurch Street and Barking.
"However, services across the network are subject to delay and cancellation."
National Rail said: "Major disruption is expected until the end of the day."
Services to and from London Liverpool Street will not run at all.
c2c tickets are being accepted at no extra cost on several alternative routes.
This includes London Buses between London Fenchurch Street and Barking, Rainham (Essex) and Upminster.
Passengers can also use London Underground services between London Fenchurch Street and Upminster.
