A care home resident has celebrated her 106th birthday surrounded by residents, relatives and team members and music.
Ada Cook, a proud Cockney originally from London’s East End, marked the milestone at Alexandra House, part of the Runwood Homes group, with a party organised by care home staff.
The celebration included live music from singer Paul Bormond and plenty of cake, which Ada described as "Fantastic cake."
Her son, Terry, said: "It was truly exceptional in every way, including the caring and love shown to Mum by the staff. It was all very memorable, including the fantastic cake, of which Mum had two portions."
During the party, Ada took to the microphone to sing along to one of her favourite songs, delighting everyone in attendance.
Mr Bormond said: "It was an honour singing for Ada. Events like these are at the heart of life at Alexandra House, celebrating our residents' individuality and the special milestones that mean so much."
Ms Cook was born within the sound of the Bow Bells and remains a beloved resident at the care home.
