More than 400 people are expected to run, jog and walk through Victoria Park this weekend to raise money for diabetes charity JDRF.
The charity focuses on type one diabetes, and has organised a 5km run and 10km run, as well as shorter walks for kids.
Amongst those attending is MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, Rushanara Ali, who said: “I know that JDRF works hard to tackle type one diabetes, an illness which is both life-threatening and life-long.
“The work they do is so important, not least to the over 1,000 people right here in Tower Hamlets currently suffering from type one diabetes.”
The event is to be held on Sunday, October 7, from 10am.
