FRIENDS and family of a man in a coma are due to arrive in East London after an 80-mile sponsored trek from Suffolk to raise funds for his after care.

Chris Corder, 43, has been in a coma at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel since a road accident nearly three months ago in his home town of Hadleigh, near Ipswich, in September.

The walk has been organized by his nephew Stuart Hunt and father Steve in anticipation of his release from hospital.

The family hope to raise £3,000 to make Mr Corder’s life and after care a little easier and is appealing for donations to the Chris Corder fund they’ve set up online, or telephone Steve Hunt on 07748-623827. They have been walking 20 miles a day.
