The UK’s largest Islamic bank teamed up with the London Halal Food Festival last week to raise awareness about Islamic finance amongst attendees.
Colleagues from Al Rayan’s Whitechapel and Edgware Road branches hosted a stall at the annual two day London Halal Food Festival event that took place at Wapping’s Tobacco Dock, offering guests halal food, live entertainment and cooking demonstrations.
The event invites attendees from across the globe to enjoy the cuisine on offer and learn more about the Islamic community.
Saquib Ismail, head of branches and retail deposits, said: “The local communities and organisations we work with are at the core of everything we do. Being part of the London Halal Food Festival this year has provided a great platform for Al Rayan Bank to get involved in the community spirit in the local area and we’ve enjoyed speaking to guests about Islamic finance.”
