Alberto Cavasin and Leyton Orient squad ready for ‘six-pointer’ with Exeter City in League Two

The east Londoners are without a win at Brisbane Road since August after Saturday’s home defeat to Blackpool

Leyton Orient manager Alberto Cavasin believes tonight’s League Two match with Exeter City is a fixture they must win.
The two clubs are in the bottom five of the division with the O’s 20th and the Grecians at the basement.
But if Exeter were to win at Brisbane Road this evening, they’d move above the east Londoners.
Cavasin, via a translator, said: “It is fundamental we get the win and even the players said it was a six-pointer.

“When I hear the squad present in this way, a manager charges up and has faith in them. Let’s see what happens.”
Orient’s record at Brisbane Road this season is terrible and they’ve not won in front of their home fans since August.

The east Londoners have lost their last seven league matches in E10, which is a new club record.
Exeter, meanwhile, have fared well on the road and were unlucky not to beat Carlisle United on Saturday.
Paul Tisdale’s team have already won at Accrington Stanley, Colchester United, Stevenage, Barnet and Morecambe this season.
Orient, in contrast, have picked up just one victory in the division at Brisbane Road this campaign on August 16 – a 3-0 win over Stevenage.
Although Cavasin’s side performed well at Colchester and claimed a 3-0 success, their form at home is hugely concerning.
The Italian knows they must improve in east London if they are to truly turn the corner, despite suggesting they had in the build-up to Saturday’s fixture with Blackpool.
A victory for Orient this evening could see them potentially move up to 13th with several results going their way.
But if O’s are to claim all three points, you would suspect they’ll need to open the scoring having struggled throughout this season whenever they’ve conceded first.
“I think playing well at home is the turning point for everybody. Playing at home is something different because you feel the warmth of the supporters,” said Cavasin.
“We absolutely need to find a positive result at Brisbane Road or a victory through playing good football and we need to break this curse.”
