Italian departs Brisbane Road with classy message to supporters and chairman Francesco Becchetti
Alberto Cavasin has wished Leyton Orient success in the future after releasing a short statement on the official club website this afternoon.
The Italian was sacked yesterday following O’s 1-0 loss at Brisbane Road to Exeter City on Tuesday.
It was the 60-year-old’s eighth defeat in his 10th match in charge after his appointment on October 2.
Although the Italian failed to bring success to east London, leaving with a 20 per cent win rate, he has showed his warm personality once again with a classy departing message to the supporters.
“I would like to say goodbye and I am sorry for not achieving the results that both I and all the coaching staff wanted during my time with the club,” said Cavasin via a statement on the official club website.
“I gave absolutely everything I could and I hope results can pick up as a club of this nature and history deserves to be successful.
“For the supporters, you all gave your overwhelming support to the team and I thank you for that, while I would also like to thank the chairman for the opportunity he gave me with the club. Up the O’s!”
