Check out our player ratings from Leyton Orient’s clash with Barnsley

Alex Cisak (6): The keeper had a fairly quiet evening, with only two shots from the opposition on target. But when the Aussie was called into action he made it look very comfortable. Had one fantastic save in the game early in the second half from a Barnsley free-kick.

Luke O’Neill (6): The right-back started very brightly moving the ball well, overlapping Hedges, to push at the opposition. As the game went on the Burnley loanee had a few sloppy moments, losing the ball and letting Barnsley’s attack in behind him, but still looked a comfortable fit in the line-up.

Scott Cuthbert (7.5): Scottish centre-back has really found his form since being brought back into the line-up in his preferred position. Rck solid at the back, winning everything, pulling off brilliant tackles. When he did lose the ball a few times, he was very quick to get possession back.

Nathan Clarke (6.5): The skipper was brought back into the team after not making the starting line-up for a while and had one of his best performances this season. Looked strong, winning his battles, was also up to the challenge when Barnsley pushed the tempo in the second half.

Andrea Dossena (7): Another solid performance from the former Italian international. Very bright pushing forward to create chances down the left side, he linked up well once again with Jobi McAnuff, which seems to be becoming a solid partnership, with them using each other brilliantly. The left-back had some great crosses that caused the Tykes defence some real problems.

Ryan Hedges (7.5): Man of the match on the night and well deserved. The Swansea winger looked a real threat, causing problems with his pace and technical ability. The loanee has formed a good partnership with O’Neill over the last few games, but the highlight was when the youngster almost converted a stunning volley on the turn after some keepy-uppy.

Bradley Pritchard (6): Midfielder looked far more comfortable in his preferred choice in the centre, with a lively start in the first 15-20 minutes, but tailed off as the game went on. Former Charlton man had the best chance to win the game for the O’s when great team play lead to him being denied by an in-form Barnsley keeper.

Josh Wright (6.5): Never hides away and that showed as he got stuck in and ran the midfield very well. Always wanted the ball, breaking into space throughout and moved it around the team brilliantly. Unfortunately for the former Millwall man his set-pieces let him down on the night.

Jobi McAnuff (7): The Jamaican international once again had a flying start, working very hard to get to the byline to deliver a few crosses early on. The winger battled hard all night to win the ball but tired early in the second half. Former Hammer was also denied a great chance, when his powerful shot from Henderson’s lay-off was steered clear.

Chris Dagnall (6.5): The former Tyke was eager to play well, as was clear from his energy and the way he was chasing knocks-downs all evening. The striker worked hard once again, but did not manage to get on the end of much, like he did against Yeovil.

Darius Henderson (7): The big striker was very effective up top, creating chances for his team-mates, along with space by winning most of his headers. Former Nottingham Forest man worked hard again and is really starting to cement his place in the starting line-up, with a strong performance in the air and on the floor. However, he did miss a few chances, which on another night might have gone his way.

Substitutes

Dean Cox (5.5): The winger came on for a tired McAnuff, which looked like a great change, but did not really get into the game. Had a few poor touches, but very nearly helped to win it when he put in a stoppage-time cross that skimmed off Dagnall’s head.

David Mooney (5.5): Irishman came on late on in the match but struggled to get involved too much and was slow at releasing the ball. Striker dropped back into midfield once he was introduced, which might have been what he was told, but did not seem very effective once the Tykes went to 10 men.

Jay Simpson: Former Arsenal striker came on in stoppage time after the sending-off, but not enough time for him to create much.
