PEACE and reconciliation efforts in post-war Bosnia-Herzegovina were on the agenda at the London Muslim Centre last week.
Tower Hamlets Interfaith Forum invited Michael Tatham, the UK Ambassador to the Balkan country, to the centre in Whitechapel Road last Wednesday to explore how the country is recovering following the conflict in the early 1990s.
The Bosnian War, and wars between the other states of former Yugoslavia, took place 1992-1995 during which the term "ethnic cleansing" was popularised and thousands of people, including Muslim Bosniaks, were killed or driven from their homes.
