This winning snapshot showing canoeists on the Thames heading towards an ‘Olympic’ Tower Bridge in the glowing sunset has earned its young photographer a brand new professional camera.
Ana Lima scooped top prize in the contest with her snap of boaters on the Wapping waterfront.
She was one of two winners at a presentation in Old Street last Friday in the ‘My Community—My World’ competition by the non-profit One social housing group and the Hyelm Group of housing charities.
Ana received a Nikon 3000 Digital SLR camera in the competition which encouraged youngsters to depict their community through photography, beating finalists from six London boroughs. All the competitors receive care and support or are in housing need.
