Yeovil Town make trip to east London off the back of five consecutive defeats in League Two

Andy Hessenthaler is confident Leyton Orient will start making Brisbane Road a tough place to visit if they cut out silly errors.

Yeovil Town visit E10 this weekend as O’s play their first home match since August 30 when they beat Stevenage 3-1 in the EFL Trophy.

But prior to that victory they had been defeated by the odd goal against Mansfield Town and they had also lost 1-0 to Newport County.

It is a stark contrast to their excellent away form where they’ve picked up eight points out of a possible 12.

Hessenthaler said: “I think we are capable of doing well at home, but we just need to cut out mistakes and take our chances.

“We need to defend properly and if there is anything at the moment that we need to work on, that is it. As a group we need to keep working defensively.

“Individual errors as well – if we can cut that out, with this squad of players, we’ll always score goals so if we can start getting a few clean sheets then it will certainly help us at home.”

With the League Two season seven games old, Yeovil find themselves in the bottom two with just four points.

The Glovers achieved that tally from their first two matches as they began the new campaign impressively.

Yeovil beat Notts County 2-0 on the opening day of the season, before drawing at Luton Town.

But they have lost their last five fixtures and Orient will hope to make it six defeats in a row on Saturday.

If Hessenthaler’s men can do that, it will put them on an impressive four-match unbeaten run.

He added: “The team that is the most consistent is going to be up there and perhaps we were at the start of last season.

“But then we had spells where we weren’t and unfortunately we missed out. To pick up four points out of six in these last two games, we’re over the moon.

“We’ve now got to take all that good work into Saturday. We need to make sure we continue that against Yeovil.”
