HUNDREDS of balloons were released into the air to celebrate London Peace Week last week.
Pupils at Oaklands School were joined by officers from Bethnal Green North safer neighbourhood team on Wednesday last week to promote safety and community cohesion in the capital.
Year 7 pupils tied messages of peace and pictures to the balloons which were released from the school's playground in Mansford Street.
