BANK bosses came out from behind their posh desks to lead 100 staff to the top of Everest—without even leaving the office.

They climbed the stairs of all 31 floors of Barclays global headquarters in Canary Wharf in East London more than 57 times, equalling the height of the world’s tallest mountain at almost 30,000ft.

The huge climbing effort was organised by Barclays staff at branches across London to raise �15,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Rett Syndrome Association

It wasn’t just fundraising prowess that was on show—staff also took the chance to show off their fitness with the fastest ascent of the 31 floors in 3mins 42 secs!
