BAR staff were arrested when police swooped on an East End pub in a drug raid last weekend.

Riot cops raided the Young Prince in Poplar's Cordelia Street on Friday evening, arresting a 21-year-old barmaid and a 61-year-old barman on suspicion of dealing class A drugs.

Another member of staff, a 27-year-old man, was arrested under the Proceeds of Crime Act and a 28-year-old woman was arrested for possession of cocaine.

They have all been bailed to appear before police at a later date.

Brewery Admiral Taverns, which runs the Young Prince, agreed to close the pub at least until yesterday and is expected to change the bar's management and staff.
