Barrow boss Evatt: We should have won the game

The Bluebirds held the lead for a long time at Leyton Orient, but the game finished 2-2
Barrow manager Ian Evatt felt his team deserved to win away to Leyton Orient on Saturday in the National League.
The Bluebirds took the lead in the fourth minute when a fine passing move allowed Jack Hindle to get in on goal and he fired past Dean Brill.
Orient eventually hit back through Macauley Bonne in the 55th minute and he made it 2-1 with 80 on the clock.
Barrow had the final say on proceedings, however, when Raul Correira equalised with five minutes left to earn the visitors a share of the spoils.

Evatt told the official club website: “I am delighted with the spirit and the courage, fight and desire showed to get us back in the game, but as I’ve said to the lads, I am not happy with a point.
“I genuinely believe we should have won the game and I don’t think we were quite at the races to how we can be.

“We passed it as well as we can in the first 10 minutes and I thought we were irresistible at times and cut them to ribbons and scored an excellent goal.
“Then we got embroiled in a bit of gamesmanship and a physical battle which we’re not built for.
“We are built to play football and attack with pace and we didn’t quite do that to our standards, but I am really pleased we got something out of the game because it would have been a travesty not too.”
Orient were caught napping at the start of the game, as Barrow kept the ball and Rhys Turner then played a simple forward pass to Hindle and he slotted home.
It took O’s some time to get back on level terms, but they did when Josh Coulson found Bonne in the penalty area and he turned and finished well.
Chances continued to be created by both sides, and the hosts thought they had won it when Josh Koroma squared for Bonne in the 80th minute.
It wasn’t to be the last goal of the game though, as in the 85th minute Brill failed to get to a long throw and Correira poked home to earn Barrow a deserved point and leave O’s winless after three fixtures.
