A national charity working to get more young people into further education will celebrate its 10th anniversary at its Bow offices on Friday.

IntoUniversity tries to raise the aspirations of teenagers in Tower Hamlets by running a programme to help support them as they attempt to win a place at university or get their dream job.

The organisation, which launched in 2003, is marking its 10th birthday with a drinks reception at the Bow offices in St Stephen’s Road, which was the charity’s fourth centre and opened in 2008.

Team leader and academic support manager, Jonathan Tan, who said the charity is “part of the community”, says the bash will be a “special occasion”.
