An Anglican bishop has visited a school in Tower Hamlets and spoke to students about his life experiences.
Bishop of Stepney Adrian Newman was taken on a tour of Bishop Challoner Catholic Collegiate, in Commercial Road, on Friday, September 27 and spoke to students in a question and answer session.
Nick Soar, head of the girl’s school, said: “The visit was a great success.
“Our students were keen to hear the Bishop’s personal testimony on how, as a teenager, he came to Christianity and later became a priest.”
Bishop Newman had worked as an economist before being ordained and becoming the Dean of Rochester in 2005.
