THE SAUNA room at a gym in one of London’s tallest apartment blocks has been destroyed in a blaze.
Around 60 firefighters and 12 fire engines tackled the blaze at the gym at the 50 floor Pan Peninsula tower at Millharbour on the Isle of Dogs.
No one was hurt in the fire on the third floor of the leisure complex which occupies six floors of the block.
Emergency crews from Millwall and other East London fire-stations were called out to the fire at 8.20am on Saturday. The fire was eventually under control by 1pm.
