Women can keep their fitness levels up with Bollywood dance lessons

Bollywood dance lessons are set to be offered to women looking to stay in shape during the chilly winter months.

The Sport4Women programme is giving people the chance to stay energetic as the evenings draw in and temperatures plunge, though dance, netball and fitness sessions.

It is being run by Tower Hamlets Council and is aimed at increasing female participation in sport and exercise by offering classes and sessions at bargain rates. Each instalment costs between £1.10 and £2 and run on weekday evenings.

Tower Hamlets Mayor Lutfur Rahman said: “The Sport4Women programme is making sports accessible to women by taking into account the barriers they face and creating a sports programme which fits into their lifestyle.”
