Boreham Wood boss Luke Garrard was disappointed his team were unable to claim all three points at Leyton Orient on Saturday following a goalless draw in the National League.
The Hertfordshire outfit were looking to secure an unlikely double over the ex-Football League club after winning the first battle in September 2-0.
And if Wood’s finishing in the first half had been better, they would have claimed all three points at Brisbane Road.
Orient goalkeeper Dean Brill was forced to deny Alex Davey, Bruno Andrade and Ricky Shakes during the first 45 while Shakes also fired an effort against the crossbar from close range.

Justin Edinburgh’s men improved after the restart and threatened through James Dayton and David Mooney while Macauley Bonne had the ball in the net with eight minutes left.
Referee Samuel Allison disallowed the goal for a foul by Mooney on Boreham Wood goalkeeper Grant Smith and it finished all square despite Davey going close with a late header and Angelo Balanta testing Brill one last time.

Garrard said: “I think on reflection, we probably can complain about only getting a point because I felt in the first half we probably should have had two or three goals.
“The opportunities we offered up didn’t marry up with ruthlessness in front of goal and at half time I knew only one team was happy and that was Justin and Leyton Orient.
“I don’t think they could have got any worst than they were in the first half, but in fairness they came out for the second half and had a go.
“The wind picked up going down to Grant’s goal, so it helped them and locked us in, but Alex had a chance with a header which I thought was going to nestle into the back of the net and Brill made another good save.
“But in fairness, if I was Justin I would have been a little bit disappointed not to get the goal right at the end because I didn’t think it was a foul on Grant.”
