MAYOR of London Boris Johnson joined the campaign trail in Watney Market to support the Conservative parliamentary candidates in Tower Hamlets.

The former Conservative MP joined Tim Archer who is contesting the Poplar and Limehouse seat and Zakir Khan who is the Conservative candidate for Bethnal Green and Bow.

Mr Johnson lent his support to candidates and chatted with shoppers and traders as he was accompanied by a pack of journalists as he took to the streets of Shadwell today.
