Tower Hamlets will hold a Remembrance Day service to commemorate those who died in the First World War.
On Sunday, councillors, residents and members of the Royal British Legion will join together to reflect on the sacrifices made in conflicts past and present.
Sunday marks 100 years since Armistice, the WW1 agreement which saw Germany surrender and hostilities on the Western Front cease.
Tower Hamlets’ main service will take place on Tower Hill at the Merchant Navy Memorial. The memorial bears the name of all fishermen and merchants who died in the Falkands and first and second world wars.
There are 36,000 names inscribed, making it the biggest memorial in the UK by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

The service will take place from 10.30am and most of the memorial is accessible by wheelchair. The service is organised by the Honorable Company of Master Mariners, with music provided by the Wake Band.
