Boxing heavyweight Anthony Joshua helped put hundreds through their paces in a mass ‘boxercise’ session in Bethnal Green.
The WBA, WBO and IBF champ led 541 participants in the 30-minute session in York Hall.
Their sweat and tears were rewarded with a new title to share, the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest boxercise lesson’.
“To get over 500 people taking part in something I’m passionate about is amazing,” said Mr Joshua.
“I hope our World Record success inspires more people to get moving and involved in boxercise.”
The 28-year-old treated the class to a bespoke lesson demonstrating a variety of combat and defensive moves.
Each attendee needed to follow set routines to ensure they bagged the world record.
The event, organised by a sports drink, was monitored by 10 ‘chaperones’ to ensure the budding boxers followed the rules set by the officiating body.
