A TEENAGER and a man have been arrested after firearms were discovered in a drugs bust on a house in East London.

Drugs squad officers with a warrant raided the address in Ryder Mews in Homerton where they found a revolver (pictured), shotgun, cartridges and a self-loading pistol, as well as a small amount of cannabis.

Det Chief Ins Gary Bruce said: "These seizures are the result of intelligence-led police work in response to gang crime. They demonstrate our intention to remove firearms from the streets of East London."

The 16-year-old and a man of 34 were arrested at the house after yesterday's raid at dawn. They were being questioned last night at an East London police station.
