OFFENDERS in bright orange high-visibility vests have been painting over graffiti as part of a Community Payback project in the East End.
Eight supervised offenders started clearing graffiti from Grimsby Street, just off Brick Lane in Bethnal Green on Monday.
The project, run by Tower hamlets council and London Probation, targets areas highlighted as needing improvement by East Enders.
Through Community Payback, low risk offenders serving community sentences can repay local people as part of their punishment.
