COPS patrolling Brick Lane looking for traders selling stolen bikes arrested a man on suspicion of handling stolen goods on Sunday.
The 36-year-old from Islington was found in possession of a 'Giant' racing bike with a retail value of �560 after officers and market inspectors inspected his stall.
Insp Stephen Manger said: "Brick Lane Sunday market should be a place that residents and families enjoy coming to.
"We will target those individuals who continue to trade in stolen bikes. Policing presence is being increased at the market and we will work with our partners to ensure the Brick Lane market is a family friendly day out.
