Buildings across the East End are set to open their doors to the public as part of the Open House London event this weekend.
Tower Hamlets will see 39 of its buildings opening up during the weekend, with the aim being to celebrate the places in which Londoners live and work.
These sites include Wapping’s Hermitage Community Moorings, the old Limehouse Town Hall and a host of others, ranging from schools to places of religious worship.
Ahead of the weekend, Mayor of Tower Hamlets Lutfur Rahman said: “Open House London offers a fantastic opportunity for residents to explore buildings they wouldn’t normally have access to.
“With such an interesting history in Tower Hamlets - which is reflected in the local architecture and built environment - it’s great that we’re able to showcase our buildings to residents and the rest of London.”
