THE big chocolate makers are getting ready for the 2012 Olympics with a deal announced today (Monday). Bosses at Cadbury’s have signed up with the London Organising Committee as its latest Tier Two’ supplier

THE big chocolate makers are getting ready for the 2012 Olympics with a sweet deal announced today (Monday).

Bosses at Cadbury’s have signed up with the London Organising Committee as its latest Tier Two’ backer.

The deal means the brand getting official confectionery and ice cream’ status for London 2012, the rights to use the London 2012 trade logo on its chocolate bars and other products as well as marketing rights to Team GB.

Cadbury’s is also in the melting pot to supply all confectionery and packaged ice cream sold at Games venues and in the Olympic Park.

The company established in 1824 in the Midlands was also an official supplier of the 2000 Sidney Games and the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and 2006 in Melbourne.
