TRAIN services are being suspended on the DLR between Canary Wharf and Lewisham at the weekend, passengers are warned.

Work is being carried out to extend platforms for three-carriage trains being introduced next year.

Replacement bus services are running on both Saturday and Sunday form Canary Wharf to Island Gardens and Canary Wharf express to Cutty Sark in Greenwich, then all stations to Lewisham.

But the buses won't be stopping at Heron Quays, so passengers are being advised to use Canary Wharf Underground station nearby to make connections.

Other parts of the DLR will be running during the disruptions, Canary Wharf to Bank, Canary Wharf to Stratford, Tower Gateway to Beckton and Bank to Woolwich Arsenal.
