Marketing begins today (Thurs) for Canary Wharf Group’s first-ever residential apartments in the exclusive business district estate.
Some 2,000 potential buyers have already registered online so far at the sales and marketing suite in Jubilee Place Mall.
Construction began earlier this year at the former Wood Wharf site—but the first phase is not expected to be complete until 2019.
The complex has 345 flats in two towers reaching up 42 storeys and 13 storeys, with prices expected to start from £395,000.
It includes 74 studios, 115 one-bedroom, 141 two-bedroom and 15 three-bedroom apartments, each with balcony or terrace. They are being made available first to buyers in this country.

The towers have been designed by Stanton Williams architects, with views towards the south, east and west.
“We wanted to promote a sense of wellbeing,” Stanton Williams’ founder Paul Williams said. “So we focused on creating a sequence of social spaces in a vibrant community with gardens and views hard to find anywhere else in London.”
The new 10 Park Drive address with its private sky terrace is the first of a future development of 3,200 homes on the now-expanded Canary Wharf estate, a quarter of which will be at the low-cost ‘affordable’ end of the property market.

Plans for the expanded Canary Wharf district also includes more offices, shops and restaurants, a school, doctors’ surgery and open spaces including the roof garden at Crossrail Place shopping centre. The Crossrail station itself opens in 2018, with trains direct to Bond Street in 13 minutes and Heathrow in 39.
