Cancer charity takes to the streets with East End roadshow

A TWO-DAY road show to help anyone who thinks they may have cancer or knows anyone with cancer turned up in London's East End as part of a street festival.
Volunteers like Becky Younghusband (pictured, left) used the carnival atmosphere to raise funds for research while musicians entertained the crowds.
But serious business was at hand when the Macmillan charity's mobile unit parked in Bishops Square in Spitalfields over two days with specialists on board to advise anyone about concerns with cancer.
SEEK HELP
The charity's Amy Sherman explained: "We get many people who wouldn't seek out help if they hadn't seen us on the high street.

"They just need information about services that could help them or someone they know."
The second day last Friday coincided with the East End 'roadshow' festival staged by the Macmillan charity.
