A car hire firm has had to move to London’s East End away from the City fringe because its drivers keep getting parking tickets.
WestOne Cars has relocated to new premises in Aegon House at Crossharbour, on the Isle of Dogs, because of the growing restrictions over the past decade.
“Parking tickets have become a major bugbear for the fleet industry as a whole,” said the company’s new managing director Amarjit Pall. “We decided that enough was enough.”
The new premises mean drivers can now call into the office more regularly for inspections without incurring penalties which were becoming a daily hazard at Scrutton Street in Shoreditch, where the company has been based for the past 10 years.
