OLYMPIC bosses are investing £80 million to increase capacity on East London’s crowded DLR rail network—well in time for the 2012 Games.

Cash has been found for more rail carriages, despite the credit crunch.

That means an extra 33 million passengers will be able to travel on the network when the upgrading’ is complete by the end of 2010.

The Olympic Authority funding also includes building four new stops on the DLR network at Stratford High Street, Stratford International connecting Eurostar, Abbey Road in West Ham and Star Lane in Canning Town.
