SPITALFIELDS City Farm is celebrating apples at its Apple Day event tomorrow (Sunday October 17).
The free event includes a chutney making workshop, apple pressing, apple foraging and of course apple tasting.
Other attractions include donkey rides, a cafe, music and poetry, face painting, felt making from wool from the farm’s sheep and a chance to find out more about the farm’s young farmers group and volunteering opportunities.
Apple Day starts at 11am and continues until 4pm at the farm in Buxton Street.
The farm was started in 1978 on a former railway goods depot in response to local desire to use wasteland to grow food.
