PASSENGERS on the Central Line were stuck in a tunnel this morning after someone was taken ill at Bethnal Green.
Transport for London suspended the westbound line between Liverpool Street and Leytonstone around 9.20am and an ambulance was outside the station in Cambridge Heath Road.
Underground passengers already on trains were kept waiting inside the tunnel for around 15 minutes while staff saw to the incident.
The line was back up and running by 9.45am.
