TUBE passengers travelling from the East End are struggling to get into the City this afternoon because of problems on London Underground.
The Central line is currently suspended between Liverpool Street and Marble Arch due to a faulty train at Holburn which is causing severe delays to the rest of the line.
Transport for London is hoping to fix the problem before tonight's rush-hour kicks in. Commuters were facing disruptions throughout the morning after the Circle line shut down when a train hit an "obstruction" just outside Aldgate station.
The entire line was closed in both directions for about six hours while the Hammersmith and City line, which shares much of the Circle line's track, was suspended between Whitechapel and Barking.
