EAST End youngsters were the first to receive a visit from new Children's Minister, Sarah Teather.
The Liberal Democrat dropped in to Shadwell Children's Centre in Cable Street where she spoke to parents about their toddlers' care.
The centre is one of Tower Hamlets council's Sure Starts which aim to help youngsters develop and support families by offering them a range of activities including Rhyme Time and a Baby and Toddler Gym.
Ms Teather who is MP for Brent Central said: "I was really impressed that the centre staff are working hand in hand with the local community to provide family support, health and childcare services for the most needy families in their area.
