If you think could rabbit with your north and south for a minute, pop on down to Roman Road Market on Saturday, June 14.
The event, which is taking place at 2pm, is celebrating the traditional language and raising funds for the Whitechapel Mission, which helps homeless people in the East End.
There is also the opportunity to win a prize by having a butcher’s at a series of images taken by photographer Anne Clements and trying to work out the phrases from the visual codes.
Rhyming slang started out as a secret language for petty criminals in the 18th century so that police officers and their targets could not work out what they were talking about.
