THOUSANDS of commuters have been hit this morning in Essex and East London with rail services into Liverpool Street being cancelled.
There are no trains between Ilford and Stratford due to overhead cable problems, passengers have been warned.
An overhead cable is said to be down between Ilford and Seven Kings, while there are also weather problems in Colchester and a signalling fault affecting trains from Clacton.
Passengers are being advised to switch to buses between Ilford and Stratford. The Underground at Stratford is unaffected, while there are no East Anglia services reaching Liverpool Street. There are delays of up to 50 minutes, says National Rail.
