The figures released today reveal 7,237 bits of lost property were handed in to bus garages and stations, the London Underground and DLR stations in the borough.
Books, bags and phones were among the most common belongings discovered but commuters even left some of their clothing behind and their keys.
More than 200,000 items were handed in over the last financial year in London - an increase of nearly 15,000 items from the previous year.
