Concerns are growing about the welfare of a vulnerable man who was last seen around Royal Victoria Dock and Canary Wharf two weeks ago.

There have been no sightings of George Aird, who suffers with Aspergers, since he was last spotted in Canary Wharf on December 27 at around 1.30am.

The day before the 26-year-old has been spotted in the Royal Victoria Dock area around 1.30am

George had been to visit his mother for Christmas in the Eastbourne area of East Sussex before he was dropped off at his home address in New Addington by a relative.

Detective Inspector Paul Callister, investigating officer, said: “We are becoming more concerned for George’s welfare with every passing day.

“George suffers with Aspergers and may have difficulty communicating that he needs help.

“His family is desperate for news that he is safe. Please contact us without delay if you have seen him or know where he is.”

George is black, around 6ft tall and of stocky build with afro hair.

He may appear confused and at the time of his disappearance he was wearing a smart grey coat, white shirt, blue jeans, black trainers, a stripy scarf and a dark coloured rucksack.
